CHEF PREPARED ON SITE
Melissa and her team will arrive on the day of your service with fresh ingredients that will be transformed into the delicious dishes that you've ordered right before your eyes!
Unlike other personal chef and catering services who may begin preparing some or all of your food days in advance, we fully prepare everything fresh on site to provide an unapparelled level of freshness and quality in our finished product.
HAND SELECTED INGREDIENTS
Every ingredient used at Suddenly Simple is hand selected by Melissa herself and purchased as close to the service date as possible (often the day of!) to ensure optimal freshness and quality.
Melissa especially loves to source ingredients from seasonal farmers markets and her favorite local vendors, which include Saltery in Duxbury and Mullaney's Fish Market in Scituate Harbor.
HEALTH CONCIOUS MENUS
Melissa is on a mission to prove that healthy food should never have to look or taste like "health food" with her vibrant array of dairy free, gluten free, refined sugar free and allergen friendly menu options!
Melissa is also passionate about creating recipes that leave you feeling even better than before you've enjoyed them - which means avoiding overly processed and inflammatory ingredients, like seed oils, binders and artificial preservatives, as much as possible.

We had a small snafu at brunch when the venue was not accessible on schedule, but Melissa easily worked around the delay by quickly providing snacks (the avocado toast was a huge hit!) while the more substantial food was cooking. In the venue we chose, the kitchen was downstairs from the party room and Melissa was up and down those stairs a hundred times with a never-ending stream of delicious dishes. We also had more people than anticipated, but Melissa had plenty of food for everyone. Highly recommend Suddenly Simple!"

Can I order food for drop off or pick up?
No, we are a personal chef style catering service. This means that we do not work out of a commercial kitchen and everything will be prepared on site at your home or event venue. We do not offer any type of drop off or pick up service.
What is a "private chef style" catering service?
A private chef style catering service scales the same on-site preparation techniques utilized by personal and private chefs to provide full service catering without any advance food prep. This means that all of the food you order will be full prepared on site by chefs just hours before the service time.
How much do your services cost?
Our services typically begin in the range of $100 per person, although we do not charge per person. The total cost of your booking will be determined by your menu, service and material selections. Detailed pricing will be provided in a formal proposal following a consultation call.
There is a $1,000 minimum for all services - higher minimums may be required for peak dates.
