We offer the luxurious experience of having your own private chef and service staff on call.

Our bespoke booking process begins with a brief consultation call with our Executive Chef and Owner, Melissa, where she will personally walk you through all of the ways that our team of  hospitality and service professionals may be able to help with your event.

After working with you to determine your menu selections, service options, and other event needs that we may be able to assist with (rentals, entertainment, etc.) Melissa will send over a bespoke proposal that provides the cost of your requests in a transparent line item format for you to easily review via email.

Once you've had a chance to review and approve your proposal (after revision, if needed), you'll be able to easily complete the booking process and make payment online through our secure client portal.

On the day of your service, your staff will arrive a few hours before service time to transform the raw ingredients into freshly prepared menu items right before your eyes!

While we are always happy to create menus that cater to any requests, we have become especially known for our health conscious and allergen friendly menus, and love the opportunity to showcase local vendors with our farm-to-table offerings.


"I hired Melissa and Suddenly Simple to cater a party after my daughter's wedding and brunch the next day. We requested a heavily vegan menu and Melissa delivered with a ton of creative options! We had a small snafu at brunch when the venue was not accessible on schedule, but she easily worked around the delay by quickly providing easy snacks (the avocado toast was a huge hit!) while the more substantial food was cooking. In the venue we chose, the kitchen was downstairs from the party room and Melissa was up and down those stairs 100 times with a never-ending stream of delicious dishes. Can I order food for drop off or pick up?

No, we are a personal chef style catering service. This means that we do not work out of a commercial kitchen and everything will be prepared on site at your home or event venue. We do not offer any type of drop off or pick up service.

What is a "personal chef style" catering service?

A personal chef style catering service scales the same on-site preparation techniques utilized by personal chefs to provide full service catering without any advance food prep. This means that all of the food you order will be full prepared on site just hours before the service time.


How much do your services cost?

Our services typically begin in the range of $100-$300 per person, although we do not charge per person. The total cost of your booking will be determined by your menu, service and material selections. ​Detailed pricing will be provided in a formal proposal following a consultation call.

There is a $1,000 minimum for all services - higher minimums may be required for peak dates.
